Hi there, my name is Daniel Davis, and I generally go by "Steam Crow" on the webnets.
I'm a big fan of Fudge, and really happy to see a new community here. I've been gaming since 1982 or so and find it to be one of the most creative outlets around.
Some stuff about me:
- I currently live in Phoenix, Arizona, though I call the Pacific Northwest "home".
- I designed the Fudge Logo. 6 years later, I still like it.
- I illustrate/write theMonster Commute webcomic. It's about steampunk monsters living in a dystopia.
- I run a little business with my wife, called "Steam Crow." We make monster stuff based on our art. (Books, prints, stuff.)
- I've illustrated and published 5 books via Steam Crow, which you can see at Steam Crow
- I used to create Agyris, a fantasy RPG setting. I've put that aside to work on Monster Commute.
I'm currently working on a Fudge RPG release for Monster Commute, based on the characters and world of the comic. It's going to be highly illustrated and designed, and I'm hoping to release at the end of 2011. Undoubtedly, I'm going to need some of your advice on the mechanics of the thing as that's not my strong point.
Thanks to Ann and Paul for putting this all together.
Dude, I severely need to catch up on your webcomic. It is fun and I enjoyed reading it, before a bunch of stuff hit the fan in my life. I fell behind on a lot of webcomics.
I'm actually looking forward to seeing the RPG based off of Monster Commute. I bet the world would be a fun place to play in.
BTW, when I was catching up on Doctor Who, I saw an episode that reminded me of MC. The Doctor and Martha wound up in a perpetual traffic jam below a major city. Some people had been in traffic for 20 or more years. I started wondering where the propaganda posters were. :-D
