So, it's called Grey Ghost Games. And, the logo has a spectral horse. I figure there must be some story behind this. What is it, if I may be so bold?
At the time I started up my publishing company, I owned a big grey Percheron/Thoroughbred horse I was showing under the name "Ghostdancer." Part of the name came from the fact that he was mostly white and a very elegant mover, part of that came from the fact that he was a "spooky" horse. (When he was bored, he'd pretend he was scared of things and jump around a lot. When he was really frightened by something, he'd actually listen to me and do as I asked....). So when I incorporated (leaving behind the name "Wild Mule Games," which has its own story, and which the very first Fudge book was published under in 1994), I incorporated the company as "Ghostdancer Press."
Steffan then pointed out that the company name might be construed as being disrespectful to the Ghostdance religion (which I'd written about a little in GURPS Old West), so I decided to change the name. Another trademark search later, I settled on "Grey Ghost."
There was another trend in roleplaying game companies at the time: naming the company something following the "Adjective Animal" scheme. That started way back with "Flying Buffalo," which was followed by Crunchy Frog, Last Unicorn, Plaid Rabbit, White Wolf, and several others who've been forgotten.
So "Grey Ghost" seemed to fit. And I could keep my cool 'Ghost Horse" logo. :-)
If you'd like to know more about the "before times" here's an article from Fudge Factor:

... note the references to a housecat and an elephant, so Steffan's not entirely joking. :-)

I was always wondering about this though I had a feeling of it when I read somewhere that you used to have horses.
